Beaches Baptist Church partners with the following people and their ministry.
MALAWI

Tim and Melanie have been passionately serving among the Yawo of Malawi since 2008. They share God’s Word, equip local faith leaders, facilitate and adult education program and journey alongside Yawo friends and neighbours.
Over years of ministry, local faith communities have emerged and Yawo leaders are discipling local believers. These leaders joined together to form a committee so they could make decisions in unity and with autonomy.
From this committee a local not-for-profit company named Cipula Camwenya Ltd was formed. They enable the local people to join together through income generating initiatives, discipleship programs, children and youth groups, training and other activities.
This faith-based company holds the vision to empower communities to follow their own distinctive ways of following Jesus. They seek to empower believers to be free from poverty, free from dependency on hand-outs and able to share Jesus in a culturally appropriate way without being donor driven.
Tim and Melanie are partnering in this initiative. They are teaching, training, encouraging and kingdom building. Please join with them in celebrating this growth and praying for those believers who are willing to take this leap of faith.

Mongolia

Mongolia is a land locked country bordering China to the south and Russia to the north. Mongolia covers an area of 610 740 square miles. It is the 18th largest country in the world and its average altitude is 1580m above sea level. It is known as the “Land of the Blue Sky’ with over 260 days of sunshine each year. The average summer temperature is over 20° C and the average winter temperature is -26°C. The current population is 3,530,000 making it the mostly sparsely populated country in the world. The official language is Mongolian and the most common religion is Tibetan Buddhism. Mongolia is home to the world’s last Nomads with 30% of it’s population herding over 50 million animals in the pasture lands. Mongolia is horseman country and there are more horses than there are humans.
You can help our missionaries in Mongolia by praying against, Shamanism, Buddhism, Corruption (Mongolia should be one of the richest countries in the world with it’s gold, copper iron ore, coal but the wealth from these natural resources goes to the top elite of the country, whilst a large percentage of Mongolians live in terrible situations), Alcohol Abuse, Prostitution, Homelessness and Spiritual Heaviness. Luke 10:2-3 “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few, ask the Lord of the Harvest therefore to send out workers into His Harvest Field.” Back in 1989 when 70 years of communism first fell there were only 3 known Christians in Mongolia, today there is an estimated 40,000 Christians, with approximately 600 churches.

Outback Australia

Mat and Shannon Anderson and their four children Beth, Peter, Caleb and Samuel have served in Outback Australia since 2018.
They live in Kalkarindji and are learning from the Warlpiri people in the Tanami Desert. Relationships are the key to ministry in communities so each day and week look quite different, building strong relationships as opportunities arise. Leadership Training Camps and one-on-one discipleship are staples of their work.
In 2023 they moved to Kalkarindji, serving in Kalkarindji and Lajamanu, eight hours north of Yuendumu and five hours west of Katherine. They are looking forward to building on the foundations of cultural learning and expanding that with learning about the Gurindji language and culture.
Through living alongside First Nations people, learning from each other and growing in their obedience to God and His word, Mat and Shannon are passionate about seeing vibrant faith communities following Jesus in their own distinctive ways.
Your partnership with Shannon and Mat means they can continue serving God in Outback Australia. Thank you for your faithful prayers, sacrificial giving and active encouragement.
